Fees

Billing Policy

The following patients will continue to be bulk billed:

 

• Children aged under 16 years,
• People with a Health Care card or Pension card regardless of age.

Services provided to all other patients, will have a gap fee of $40 for most appointments.

We have Medicare Easy Claim and EFTPOS capability, so you can claim your Medicare rebate at the time of paying the consultation fee.  This means the relevant Medicare rebate/s are returned immediately (or overnight into your Medicare linked bank account if you do not have your debit card with you).

Currently we are able to bulk bill the following services for patients who are eligible:

• GP Management Plans (and reviews)
• Team Care Arrangements (and reviews)
• Medicare funded Health Assessments

​Payment is expected at the time of consultation. EFTPOS is the preferred payment method for in person consults.  For telehealth consults you will be prompted to enter your card details at the time of booking if you book online. If you book a telehealth appointment through our website, you will be prompted to make payment through our HotDoc booking service at the completion of your appointment.

A cancellation fee of $50.00 will apply if you fail to attend your appointment (or respond for telehealth appointments) or if you cancel your appointment within 3 hours of the appointment time.

The patients shall pay for all costs actually incurred by Horsley Community Doctors in the recovery of any monies owed under this Agreement including recovery agent costs, repossession costs, location search costs, process server costs and solicitor costs on a solicitor/client basis.

Worker’s compensation	Payment is required in full at the time of the consult, and you are able to claim the fee back from the insurance company.
Minor procedures	The Medicare rebate and gap fee will depend on the type of procedure – discuss with your doctor when booking the procedure. Gap fees should be expected.
